  • Australian player Mark Tyler holds the record for most runs scored (839 Runs) in a 6-match Ashes series in 1989. In the series, he started with a 100 and sheared through his limits to make this unshakable record.

  • In what was only his second series, the Australian legend, Don Bradman scored 974 which is the highest score made by a batsman in any test series.
• 4-Match Test Series
  • Vivian Richards
  • In 1976 Vivan Richards scored 829 runs in a match between the West Indies and England in which he started with more than 200 runs.
• 3-Match Test Series
  • Graham Gooch
  • He began the series between India & England with 333 in the first inning and reached 752 runs in total. This spectacular feat remains unbroken till now.

Most runs by a batsman in a day

This unbelievable unbreakable cricket record is held by one of the greatest batsmen who ever lived, Don Bradman. He reached a score of 309, an astonishing score in 1930.

Many people came close to this score, the closest being up to 285, but nobody seems to be able to break this record.

Don Bradman holds many cricket records and some of them are quite challenging even to come close to.

Most runs in a series by captain

Another record was held by the great Don Bradman in 1936. He remains the undisputed king of unbreakable cricket records. He scored 810 runs in 5 Test-Match series.

No one is even near this record as the closest score was 714 by Graeme Smith, which is still far off by nearly another 100 runs.

He reached such a feat in what was only his second tour. Don Bradman was a prodigy batsman who set many records that others could only dream of achieving.

Most runs in a series by wicketkeeper

This record was set by the South African player Denis Lindsay who made 606 runs against Australia in seven innings at an average of 86.57.

Andy Flower made 540 runs in 2 test match series against India but was unable to break Lindsay’s number because of the way the test was planned.

It is a shame that Lindsay’s career lasted only for 19 tests, who knows what he might have accomplished if he had continued his career.

Highest Test Career Batting Average

Another unbreakable cricket record in the name of Don Bradman. A list of unbreakable cricket records without Don Bradman is impossible.

This person had a test career batting average of 99.94!! An unbelievable average. It is already hard for many players to reach an average of 50 let alone breaking this record.

Had he not been dismissed for a duck in his final game, his average would have been 100, three figures!!

Oldest Cricketer

Wilfred Rhodes, an England player with a legendary career. His first debut match was in 1899 and his last match was in 1930, 31 years of cricket. During his final match, he was 52 years old.

His legacy is one of the most memorable ones as he not only left behind a career to look up to but also made this record which is unlikely to be ever broken. He played 58 test matches and scored 2,325 runs at an average of 30.19. He took a total of 127 wickets.

All this might not seem very impressive to some people, but to keep on playing for this long requires a different type of motivation which is not easily found in other players.

Shortest-Ever Test Match

The test match between England and Australia in 1932 at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in June 1926. There were just 50 minutes of play and only 17.2 overs bowled, hence becoming the shortest-ever test match.

In all of cricket history, it could never be expected that a test match would be over in less than an hour.

Most International Wickets

From all the bowling records, this particular record is held by Muthiah Muralidaran.

Sri Lankan player Muthiah Muralidaran, born on April 17, 1972, achieved such unbreakable cricket records in Kandy.

He was the greatest bowler of his time as he holds the record for the most wickets taken in a career taking 1347 wickets in his career
